Everything is closer than it seems in this city. The great expanses of rivers that slice skylines are really only the equivalent of a few blocks in distance. There’s a bit more to traverse on each side to get the elevation (135′ it seems above the water) but it’s still about a 20 minute trot. And voila, you’re in a different borough.
It’s been a good week for walking. While Boston is under a veritable many-foot-blanket of snow, this city just has the annoying dirty ice piles sprinkled about. To snow means to have some pretty flakes for an hour that aren’t there by the time you get the mail.
